Product safety and the ecologically prudent manufacture and disposal of paint are constant concerns for us all. Today there is a large selection of excellent low- and no-VOC products that we are proud to use.
All leftover paint is labeled for the customer and left for touch-up.
Our expired paint is disposed of safely through the SF Recology VSQG Dropoff Program.
If you have expired paint, see SF Recycling’s Household Hazardous Waste.
SAFELY CONTAINING LEAD-BASED PAINT
Persnickety Painters, Inc is an EPA-Certified, Lead-Safe* Painting Contractor. This national policy must be followed by all contractors who disturb any existing substrate on the exterior of your home or building.
Please be sure that lead safety is being addressed equally by everyone bidding your job.
*As of April 2010 The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requires the use of lead safe practices to prevent lead poisoning while either the interior or exterior of homes and buildings are being altered or renovated.
Under these rules, all contractors performing renovation, repair, painting and any other process that could disturb lead-based paint in buildings predating 1978, must be certified and follow specific work practices to prevent lead contamination and poisoning.
Persnickety Painters has completed mandated training and is an EPA-Certified, Lead-Safe Firm.
